Anti-Harassment Policy
Dancing is a universal expression of movement. For this reason, we’d like to promote a few best practices so that everyone can enjoy the dance-floor to its fullest.
These rules include recommendations to avoid abuse, harassment, or inappropriate behavior. These rules do NOT include recommendations to avoid being a target. Victims are never at fault, it does not matter who he/she is, how he/she is, what he/she is wearing, where he/she is going or why.
Harassment, aggression and sexual discrimination - physical and verbal - are intolerable and we must strive to ensure that every dance-floor is a shared space where every person can feel free and safe.
Avoid offensive or degrading comments, discrimination and insults on the grounds of gender, identity or sexual orientation, as well as physical contact without consent and attempts at violence. Do not underestimate any of these actions, even when they seem like a joke.
No means no! Only yes is yes. Conversations and interactions only take place with mutual consent. Make sure that the person in front of you makes it clear that they want to talk or interact with you.
If you notice harassing attitudes even from a person you know, act, but always in safety. Ask for support from other people and venue staff, distract the harasser so that the victim can leave, always intervene in a non-violent manner and ask the victim if they need help without ever judging them.
If you feel uncomfortable, a victim of harassment or a threat, ask for help and report it to the bar or festival staff. You do not have to justify not being in the company, you have every right to be where you are and how you are.

Wildfire Update
Dear OSS Community,
We are aware some of you are concerned about the wildfires slowly spreading around Sicily. The team would like to reassure you that the Festival is still happening and that our dear island hasn't been affected by the fires. As of today, temperatures are drastically dropping, leaving the dreaded scorching weather behind.
To plan your travel ahead we highly suggest contacting your travel agencies & providers to check your flight status. There will be replacement shuttles provided by the airports in order to support the rescheduled flights to Trapani, Comiso & Palermo. In addition to that, the Catania - Siracusa motorway has currently been reopened.
We understand the inconvenience and hardship caused by this situation. We're standing as close to you as ever and we hope to see you at Ortigia Sound System Festival. Together, again.
